Baggage Shipping
We offer baggage shipping by air and by sea, to port and to door, to most places in the world.
Sea Freight
Sea freight costs are calculated based on the volume of your shipment. For baggage, we recommend keeping individual boxes under 30kg to ensure they can be easily handled by staff.
Air Freight
Air freight may be more cost-effective than expected, especially to certain destinations. It’s also much faster than sea freight. We work directly with New Zealand Post Cargo, leveraging their global network to keep costs competitive.
Air freight charges are based on either the actual weight or what’s known as volumetric weight, calculated as volume (in cubic meters) x 167kg. For example, while bicycles don’t weigh much, their size (around 0.4 cubic meters) results in a volumetric weight of 67kg (0.4 x 167 = 67kg), making them more expensive to ship.
Packaging and Preparation
You can use your own packaging for both sea and air freight. Suitcases are acceptable, but please avoid using apple or banana boxes, as they can contain fruit flies. For fragile items, be sure to pack them securely. If you need assistance with packaging, we’re here to help.
Label your boxes clearly, keep an itemized list of the contents, and take a photo of your shipment before the courier picks it up.
